About The Artist

At an early age, I was creating, whether it was a short story/novella with illustrations or drawings or paintings. My passions have guided me through my life; I was always writing, painting, or drawing when I wasn’t busy with school or my animals. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Art and English. In 2019, I joined Studio 10 Art Gallery in Grand Island and have since been proud to officially call myself an artist. In June 2024, after Studio 10 closed, I joined the Burkholder Project in Lincoln.

My original focus was towards Western art, with a female bounty hunter/gunslinger as the protagonist whom I deemed the better fit for the spotlight than the typical cowboys/gunslingers. I drew inspiration for my Western Pop Art style by looking at the Golden Age of Western comic books from the ‘50s, as well as Western film posters from that era and after. However, I am beginning to shift my creative energy towards animals and farm life. I live on a farm just outside of Geneva, NE, and it has been my haven ever since my husband and I moved to it in 2018.

When I am not creating for the Burkholder, I am working my full-time job outside of Geneva, as well as working on commissions, paintings, drawings, an original novel, and spending quality time with my many animals and my wonderful husband.
